The C40 has launched a new network – the Sustainable Urban Development Network - a group of urban leaders who are deploying replicable, scalable solutions for building the next generation of “green” cities.
Chaired by Melbourne Lord Mayor Robert Doyle, the network will work to share best-practices and develop a blueprint that can be used by cities to build their own sustainable communities.
From today’s release:
Melbourne Lord Mayor Robert Doyle said the C40 Network will allow Melbourne to share key ideas and learn from other global cities embarking on similar efforts.
“Through this new network of cities, we will also engage key stakeholders and partner with the private sector to deliver on-the-ground, practical solutions to the challenges associated with sustainable urban development,” the Lord Mayor said.
