Reporting allows cities to transparently disclose climate data and track their performance, helping to identify new areas for action by learning what other cities are doing, and through benchmarking of comparable data.
Reporting focuses on the opportunity to provide cities with the necessary tools, best practices, and support mechanisms to facilitate higher quality annual data gathering and reporting.
In 2015, 92% of all C40 cities disclosed their climate related data through our reporting partner CDP.
C40 Reporting is part of the Measurement and Planning initiative, which supports member cities to measure greenhouse gas emissions through the development of standards, and provision of guidance, tools, templates, and training.
"The collection, collation and dissemination of C40 Cities data is the cornerstone of [C40] programmes."Boris Johnson, Mayor of London
