Milan hosts European Regional Seat of C40
Recently, Mayor of Milan Giuliano Pisapia hosted Rohit Aggarwala, Special Advisor to the C40 Chair, at Milan’s City Hall Palazzo Marino to discuss a stronger collaboration and the establishment of Milan as the regional seat of C40 in Europe. The two also discussed the measures Milan has taken toward reducing carbon emissions at a city level.

Rohit Aggarwala, Special Advisor to the C40 Chair, New York City Mayor Michael R. Bloomberg, said:
“I was highly impressed by the achievement of Mayor Pisapia's administration to deliver in a short period of time robust results with low carbon initiatives such as Milan’s integrated mobility plan and congestion pricing, which generated a 30% traffic reduction in less than a year. The city’s commitment to leadership on the issue of climate change is clear. C40 is pleased and honored to have our European Regional seat in Milan, a central location that can help advance the climate action agendas of all of C40’s 19 European cities."
As a result, Cristiana Fragola, European Regional Director for C40, will be based in Milan, and will continue to collaborate with all European C40 cities to share best practices and help member cities elevate their climate action agendas.
