C40 Talks: Cities Getting The Job Done

November 14, 2018 - November 14, 2018 Gran Via Venue, Barcelona

Hosted by C40, the Barcelona City Council and Fira de Barcelona, C40 Talks is an exciting global event series that brings together mayors, business leaders, influencers and internationally renowned climate experts and journalists to explore how cities are setting the agenda for a better tomorrow. The first edition of C40 Talks took place at the New York Times Building to kick off Climate Week NYC 2017.

C40 Talks: Cities Getting the Job Done is a unique session at the Smart City Expo World Congress, dedicated to highlighting the innovative actions European cities are taking to deliver on the Paris Agreement and clean the air we breathe through the Green and Healthy Streets Declaration.

This first European Regional Meeting comes three years after the historic Paris Agreement and COP21, and three weeks ahead of COP24, when the European Commission will be announcing its proposal for a long-term climate strategy. This event is expected to showcase commitments and progress made by European cities in their climate policies and in their work to meet the goals outlined in the Paris Agreement, emphasizing the importance of inclusive climate action.

European cities are critical to delivering on the highest ambitions of the Paris Agreement and are already getting the job done.
