Tokyo Forum for Clean City and Clear Sky
About the Event:
The Tokyo Metropolitan Government (TMG) is pleased to announce the hosting of the Tokyo Forum for Clean City & Clear Sky, an international conference on the environment. This forum will focus on several issues that major cities around the world are grappling with: waste management, sustainable resource management and air pollution. These issues were chosen in light of the global commitment toward achieving Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).
Representatives from major cities all over the world will meet at this forum to share knowledge and information about effective policies, and discuss solutions to create a sustainable urban environment. In addition, TMG will introduce the city’s advanced environmental policies and technologies as well as promote Tokyo’s allure as the host city of the Olympic and Paralympic Games Tokyo 2020.
The first C40 East, Southeast Asia and Oceania regional meeting will be held as a side event of the forum. Ms. Yuriko Koike, Governor of Tokyo, C40 Vice Chair, will lead conversations with cities in C40 East, Southeast Asia and Oceania region on how we can further strengthen collaboration in the region.
