Friederike Hanisch is Senior Manager for Knowledge Production and Dissemination for C40’s Inclusive Climate Action programme. Previously she led the C40 Divest/Invest Forum, supporting cities and their pension funds to divest from fossil fuels and shifts assets to climate solutions. Before this, she set up and managed ShareAction’s European Responsible Investment Network (ERIN), working with its 40 member organisations to develop joint sustainable finance initiatives across Europe. In the run up to the Global Climate Action Summit 2018, she led an investor engagement initiative which encouraged bold climate actions by asset owners. She has also worked at WWF-UK, the New Economics Foundation and the community network Semble. In her spare time, she co-founded Hackney Fixers, a local community repair initiative for electronic items, and is a Trustee for the Restart Project. Friederike holds a BSc in Environmental Sciences from Leuphana University of Lüneburg, Germany, and an MA in Environmental Politics from the University of Keele.
