Judith Neijzen serves as Senior Manager of Engagement and European Public Affairs. In this role, she leads on the support to the Vice Chairs of the C40 European Region and their staff to champion the Chairs’ leadership on specific climate action areas. This work includes identifying opportunities for regional leadership as well as carrying out political analysis of challenges and climate solutions to provide input and recommendations to colleagues and Vice Chair teams. Judith also oversees the C40 EU cities’ relationships with critical climate actors and partner organisations in Europe, including in the EU framework.

Previously Judith served as ‘City Diplomacy and Business Engagement Manager’ in C40’s diplomacy team and business team; was seconded from the Danish Ministry of Foreign Affairs in the role of ‘C40 Global Partnerships Manager’ to work on the C40 2019 Summit; and worked in C40’s Regions Team, supporting the Director of Regions.

Prior to joining C40 in early 2018, Judith was in charge of communications at the International Federation for Housing and Planning (IFHP) and has previous professional experiences in Bangladesh and Taiwan. She is a Dutch citizen but is based in Copenhagen, Denmark. Judith has an MA in International Business Communication from Copenhagen Business School and a BA in Liberal Arts and Sciences from the University of Leiden.
