Kate has a dedicated focus on the C40 Cities who have signed the Green and Healthy Streets Declaration and thus committed to establishing a significant area of their city as zero-emission by 2030. Kate has more than 13 years of experience as an economist and advocate for sustainable policy, working with decision-makers in the public sector to manage urban mobility and urban water supply in the context of global climate change. Prior to joining C40 Cities, Kate worked with Pegasys Strategy & Development in South Africa and PricewaterhouseCoopers in Australia and the United Kingdom.

Kate has a Master’s degree in Economics from University College London and a Bachelor’s degree in Politics, Philosophy and Economics from the University of Cape Town.
