As the Deputy Regional Director for South and West Asia, Raina is supporting C40’s efforts in strengthening climate leadership of member cities in the region including delivery of ambitious climate action plans and implementation of high impact actions.
Prior to joining C40, Raina worked with the National Institute of Urban Affairs (NIUA), India where she supported the Government of India in the development and implementation of the national ClimateSmart Cities Assessment Framework. In her previous roles, she worked with The Energy and Resources Institute (TERI) and served as an adjunct faculty member at the School of Planning and Architecture, New Delhi. Raina has more than 12 years of experience in policy research, capacity building, advocacy and engagement for mainstreaming city-level climate actions. She holds a Master’s Degree in Urban Planning, with specialisation in the environment, and is based in New Delhi.
