Rebecca Ilunga is the Head for Adaptation Research and Performance at C40. In this role she is responsible for developing science-based research on urban adaptation climate action; measuring adaptation success, tracking through KPIs and adaptation data management & assessment, to help cities build their climate resilience. Previously she managed the Water Security Network as part of C40’s Adaptation Implementation Initiative. In this position, she was responsible for supporting city efforts to identify, plan and implement projects to increase their water security. Rebecca is experienced in water resource modelling, management, and stakeholder engagement. She is passionate about water, sustainability, climate resilience, the urban context, and the role they play in societal development. Rebecca’s work has given her experience globally; where she has been able to interact with people from diverse communities to develop climate adaptation and water management plans.
