Aura currently serves as the Air Quality Programme Officer at C40, based in the London office. In this role, she supports the overall coordination and delivery of the Air Quality programme. She ensures that air quality initiatives are connected with other C40 programmes and networks, while also collaborating with external partners.
She joined C40 in 2022 as an intern with the Climate Action Planning and Innovation team. She supported the delivery of technical assistance to help member cities align with international best practices. She later served as Operations Officer and COP28 Events Coordinator.
Before joining C40, she worked with Climate Compatible Growth (CCG) to collect data and build a country-based model for energy transition. This project, in collaboration with the Energy Transition Council for COP27, focused on advancing energy transition strategies. In addition, she contributed to the production of the Raindance Film Festival for three consecutive editions.
Originally from Mexico, Aura holds an MSc in Environmental Technology, with a focus on urban sustainable environments, from Imperial College London. Additionally, she holds a BA in International Relations from King’s College London.
She is fluent in Spanish, French, and English.
