In Copenhagen, the city takes climate responsibility for our built environment. From 2026 onwards, it will have decided that all new municipal building projects shall meet the voluntary ‘Low Emission Class’ in the Danish Building Regulations, which will cut construction emissions from each new municipal building project by around 20 percent compared to the mandatory ‘Standard Class’.
