Alberto Diniz serves as a Data Scientist within C40’s Analytics Team, where he supports the development and maintenance of C40’s Data Warehouse and contributes to data-driven reporting across the organisation. His work focuses on analysing and improving key datasets related to C40’s climate action progress, KPIs and member city performance, while collaborating with teams to strengthen data practices, improve processes and build internal capacity.
Previously, Alberto was C40’s Manager of Heat Data and Tool Development, supporting the delivery of heat risk data, tools and knowledge products for cities in Brazil and beyond. In this role, he worked closely with city governments and partners to test, validate and apply heat risk information for climate resilience and action planning.
Before joining C40, Alberto led the Digital Solutions team at an environmental consulting company and worked at the City Hall of Rio de Janeiro on implementing the city’s Sustainable Development Plan.
Alberto is passionate about Brazilian food, samba and the beach.
