Andrew is the Manager of Program Operations on the Brazil Joint Program. He takes this role following three years on the data and analytics team where (amongst other things) he developed the peaking methodology now used as C40’s benchmark for reporting emissions successes across our member cities. He is also a member of C40’s Disability, Inclusion and Anti-Racism board.
Andrew has a strong socio-economic background, joining C40 in 2022 from Newquay Community Orchard, where he was the Social Programmes Manager and NHS liaison. Being passionate about promoting the use of nature in wellbeing (and as a preventative mental health measure), he became a Governor of Cornwall Partnership Foundation NHS Trust to further this cause.
With a keen interest in socio-economic deprivation, especially around food supply and sustainability, Andrew founded End Hunger Cornwall to successfully lobby for change and has served as the chair of the Cornwall Food Access Alliance. He has published several reports and is regularly referenced as a go-to speaker in this field.
Recently, Andrew has also been working on local, sustainable and circular economies, joining these with health and wellbeing, and is a passionate supporter of the living wage campaign.
Outside work, Andrew’s biggest hobby is playing the guitar, and he is well-known on his local music scene, playing all genres and having been in the legendary rock band Point Blank for over twenty years!
