Jim Durán Mayerstein is the Senior Manager for Latin America of the Zero Emission Bus Rapid-deployment Accelerator (ZEBRA). He manages technical assistance, consultancies and relationships with the cities that are part of the ZEBRA initiative.
Previously, Jim served as City Adviser for Mexico City in C40’s UCAP CAI program, where he supported the city in developing the first technical guidelines for e-buses and trolleybuses, which were the first of their kind nationwide. He also worked on tailored demand studies for public transport corridors subject to fleet renewal. Before joining C40, Jim served at the Mexico City Ministry of Mobility and the Public Works Department, leading multiple public transport, infrastructure and active mobility projects.
Jim holds a Bachelor’s in Transportation Engineering with Mexico’s National Polytechnic Institute.
