Mikkel Zinck Schrøder is C40’s Director of Climate Action Planning and Innovation and Head of the C40 Copenhagen office.
In his role as Director, he leads the Climate Action Planning and Innovation team, responsible for supporting all C40 cities in developing and adopting comprehensive climate action plans. These plans set measurable targets for emissions reduction and building resilience, providing the foundational framework for cities to address the climate crisis.
Based in Copenhagen, Mikkel also serves as the Head of the C40 office there. This includes managing daily operations and fostering ongoing collaboration with the strong coalition of Danish C40 funders and partners.
Before joining C40, Mikkel gained extensive experience in various areas, including city governance, international affairs, urban climate action, and cross-sectoral collaboration, through positions held at the City of Copenhagen and in private sector consultancy. He holds a Master of Business Administration and Psychology from Copenhagen Business School.
