Smart Cities New York (SCNY) is North America’s leading global conference exploring the emerging influence of cities in shaping the future. With the global smart city market expected to grow to $1.6 trillion within the next three years, Smart Cities New York is Powered by People and guided this year by its “Emerging Power of Cities” theme.
We are pleased to announce the third annual C40 Financing Sustainable Cities Forum to take place on 10 April 2018. The Forum is hosted by the C40 Cities Climate Leadership Group and the City of New York, with the support of the Citi Foundation and WRI Ross Center for Sustainable Cities. This action-oriented event will focus on immediate opportunities to scale up investment in sustainable and inclusive cities. It forms part of the Financing Sustainable Cities Initiative and builds on the success of the first and second C40 Financing Sustainable Cities Forums held in Rio de Janeiro and London in 2016 and 2017 respectively.
For this week’s Awards spotlight, we’re focusing on the #Cities4ZeroWaste finalists that are transitioning our cities away from the landfil, and toward a greener way of processing (even repurposing!) urban waste.
