Anri Manderson serves as Network Manager in the Climate Solutions and Networks team, splitting time between the Sustainable Waste Systems Network and the Food Systems Network. She supports the delivery of both networks’ knowledge-sharing activities, also helping cities deliver on their commitments to the Pathway Towards Zero Waste and the Good Food Cities Accelerator.

Before joining C40, Anri worked in food systems across southern Africa, specifically building resilience in smallholder farmer systems. She has extensive experience in community and natural resource governance, building local economies, regenerative agriculture, and youth and female empowerment.

Anri holds a joint PhD in food policy from the Universities of Antwerp in Belgium and Stellenbosch in South Africa. She also completed an MPhil degree in Sustainable Development Management and Planning and a BA in Visual Communication Design, both at Stellenbosch University.
