Camila Acosta Camargo serves as the Senior Manager, Air Quality Solutions Exchange at C40, supporting the Bloomberg Cities Idea Exchange, with a focus on air pollution and low-cost sensors.

Camila is based in São Paulo and has extensive expertise in communications, advocacy, and project management. Her work has focused on urban mobility, waste management, and, most significantly, the intersection of health, climate, and air quality. Before this role, she advocated for Brazilian air quality regulations, monitoring, and standards. She also helped to create a coalition to foster air quality monitoring in the Brazilian Amazon area.

Camila holds a PhD and a Master’s degree in Communication Sciences from the University of São Paulo, as well as a Bachelor’s degree in Social Communication with an emphasis in Public Relations from the same institution. She also conducted research at the University of East Anglia (UK) and is a member of the Communication and Work Research Center (CPCT/ECA-USP). Her research was funded by the Brazilian Federal Agency for Support and Evaluation of Graduate Education(CAPES).
