Pedro Bastos serves as the Policy Analyst for Zero Emission Vehicles at C40. His main focus is to help cities implement public policies related to zero-emission heavy-duty vehicles for freight and public transportation. Alongside WRI and ITDP as partners, Pedro also manages TUMI’s E-bus Mission in the LATAM region, supporting cities in Brazil, Mexico, and Colombia to deploy electric buses.

Pedro has extensive experience in public and sustainable transportation, having worked at the Institute for Transportation and Development Policy (ITDP) and completing successful consultancy projects for both the public and private sectors over the last decade. He played a significant role in developing the E-BUS RADAR platform while working with the Laboratory of Sustainable Mobility team at the Federal University of Rio de Janeiro (UFRJ).

Pedro is an accomplished academic with a BA in Business and Public Administration and a Master’s in Urban Planning from UFRJ. He is currently pursuing a PhD in Urban Planning, with a focus on public policies for electromobility in Latin America.
