William Andruga serves as C40’s City Adviser, Waste and Methane, in Freetown, Sierra Leone. He has over 10 years of waste management experience in humanitarian, refugee/displaced people’s settlements, municipalities and institutions. William is a civil engineer by training, with a BSc in Civil and Building Engineering and post-graduate studies in project management, waste and sanitation.
William is now undertaking a research-based MSc in Environmental Engineering focusing on GHG emissions reduction and efficient nature-based solid waste treatment methods.
William is excited by new ways to solve complex challenges including piloting projects for untested solutions to generate knowledge and understanding. Andruga is a team player, and team leader and enjoys meeting new people.
